Quality of concepts ﾖ this is an assessment of how clear and comprehensive we found the M&E concepts to be. Specifically, we considered:

• Strength of the arguments presented to support concepts
• Field experience (high if concepts have been tested and refined through field experience)
• Ease of understanding 

Quality of tools ﾖ this is an assessment of how useful we found the M&E tools presented to be. Specifically, we considered:

• Field experience (high if tool has been used successfully in the field)
• Ease of use
• Adaptability to conservation

Note: These quality ratings are specifically with regard to monitoring and evaluation. A publication may be very good, but if it is not relevant for M&E, it will have a low rating.
