Miradi – Improving Managment through Innovative Software

FOS—along with other members of the Conservation Measures Partnership and Benetech— is helping to lead the design and roll-out of Miradi Adaptive Management Software for Conservation Projects. Miradi is a user-friendly program that allows nature conservation practitioners to design, manage, monitor, and learn from their projects to more effectively meet their conservation goals. The program guides users through a series of step-by-step interview wizards, based on the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation. Miradi is now available in 5 languages, with translations by volunteers underway in several other languages – including German, Portuguese, and French. Conservation practitioners in over 160 countries are now using Miradi to develop robust strategic plans and monitoring plans. CMP members and Benetech are continuously revising Miradi to add new and improve existing features – incorporating feedback provided directly by Miradi users.
Miradi is now compatible with The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) database of Conservation Projects (ConPro)! ConPro is a searchable repository of over 1000 conservation projects of TNC and their partners. Visit http://conpro.tnc.org/ to learn more about this database and about how to share or search Miradi project files.
